Aims and Beliefs
Our riverside department was established in 2008, and is a further addition to the services we provide for our clients. Riverside homes are listed on both jacksonsresidential.com as well as jacksonsriverside.com and have their own specialist marketing, website and for-sale boards. Largely we cover the stretch of the River Thames and its tributaries between Wallingford and Windsor, and focus on the specific needs of both riverside clients and purchasers alike. So if you would like to sell a large country house or a chic waterside apartment
- That it is the duty of the agent to achieve the best possible price on behalf of his client through exposure to the widest possible market.
- That we should at all times conduct ourselves and our business in a fair and open way and at all times observe standards of behaviour above and beyond those expected of our profession.
- That our experience of having worked for corporate agencies and a leading independent agency, enables us to draw from the best of both worlds so that we can provide the very best for our clients
- That an active and dynamic approach is essential in selling property at all times, and not just when the market grows more difficult. A reactive view is not enough.
It is a source of great pride to us that as a result of following these simple rules, a very large proportion of our business today is either repeat business or by recommendation.

Marketing
Our marketing ensures your property reaches the widest audience
The way in which your property is presented will have a significant effect upon both its saleability and price. So deciding upon the correct approach to achieve the widest possible coverage requires experience and a thorough knowledge of the options available to you.
WEBSITES Take a look around our innovative website jacksonsresidential.com to get a measure of how your property will be marketed. Our website will then automatically upload your property to a number of the major property portals including Rightmove, Primelocation, Countrylife, Globrix and Find a Property etc so that your home achieves maximum exposure.
COLOUR BROCHURES Jacksons will produce colour brochures at no additional cost to our standard sale fee. All of our bochures comprise extensive colour photography, floorplans as standard, and energy efficiency graphs, with professional photography offered where deemed appropriate at no extra charge.
ADVERTISING All properties listed with Jacksons are advertised regularly in the local and regional media, in addition to exposure in our monthly magazine.
National advertising in both the Sunday Times property supplement and the Telegraph on Saturday property section may also be utilised at our discretion.

The Residential Letting Department is managed by Charlotte Mellor who will be able to advise you on all aspects of letting your property including:
- Preparing your property for letting
- Letting procedure/landlord security
- Tax implications/accounting
Residential letting has found increasing favour with the public in recent years and can make sound commercial sense if handled professionally. The 1988 Housing Act simplified the law relating to rented accommodation allowing landlords to be confident of regaining possession of their property, whilst in many cases, securing good rental yields.
However renting your property can develop into a nightmare if not correctly handled by the appointed agent. At Jacksons we take care to explain the potential pitfalls to both landlords and tenants, and thus eliminate problems that may arise in the future. In addition we try to determine the suitability of a tenant to our client's property, so neither party's expectations are dashed.
Property and Block Management
- Rent collection
- Property inspections
