We launched our Riverside department in the summer of 2008, being a further addition to the services we provide for our clients.

At Jacksons, we identified the need for waterside properties to receive specialist marketing, so we created Jacksons Riverside. Here we focus on the needs of riverside clients and purchasers alike. So whether you have a country house, a waterside apartment or a mooring, we would be delighted to discuss your requirements.

Riverside Residential Lettings

Our rental department is managed by Charlotte Meller who will be able to advise you on all aspects of letting your property including:

• Preparing your property for letting
• Letting procedure/landlord security
• Tax implications/accounting

Residential letting has found increasing favour with the public in recent years and can make sound commercial sense if handled professionally. The 1988 Housing Act simplified the law relating to rented accommodation allowing landlords to be confident of regaining possession of their property, whilst in many cases, securing good rental yields.

However renting your property can develop into a nightmare if not correctly handled by the appointed agent. At Jacksons we take care to explain the potential pitfalls to both landlords and tenants, and thus eliminate problems that may arise in the future. In addition we try to determine the suitability of a tenant to our client's property, so neither party's expectations are dashed.
